Christian Nuns, Addis Ababa 2010
I encountered these two nuns in a monastery atop En’toto Mountain. While xenophobic and reclusive by nature, Ethiopians can be quite hospitable and open. After spending a few minutes speaking to them through an interpreter, they allowed me to capture a few frames (read: prepare exposure long before the approach). A few bows of deference and a smile negotiated a friendly, yet brief exchange.
