Fourth of July and a 50mm
These shots were not post-processed and are testament to what a average prime 50mm is capable of. At f6.3, the sharpness, bokeh and color are outstanding. A 50mm goes a long way with portraits and allows the photographer to convey intimacy that a longer telephoto cannot. If ever stranded on a deserted island, this is the one lens I would have… along with a laptop and satellite connection.
